Admissions Officer, Education in the Arts, Permanent role, hybrid, London, £25,000-£27,000 per annum
Our client, a prestigious academy in the arts is recruiting for an Admissions Officer to work in a close knit friendly team. You will be responsible for the receipt and processing of applications on both university-validated and internal awards. You will provide a professional administrative service and offer excellent customer care to prospective applicants from the point of initial enquiry through to enrolment. This is a hybrid role, permanent and working 34.5 hours a week. The department develops, promotes, and coordinates the programmes of study leading to undergraduate and postgraduate degree, diploma and certificate awards of the validating university. The team builds relationships with the validating University and helps to further the International and National reputation of the organisation. An interest in Dance / Performing Arts would be useful for this role.
Responsibilities include:
- Arranging auditions, interviews, and open days
- Co-ordinating the registration activities for new students
- Contributing to the organisation of the prestigious Graduation
- Developing, promoting, overseeing, coordinating and administrating programmes of study leading to undergraduate and postgraduate degree, diploma and certificate awards of the validating university internal awards
- Receiving and responding to enquiries and applications for admission, keeping associated files and records up to date
- Recording and checking all applications, inputting decisions and using the UCAS system where appropriate
- Maintaining contact with applicants, ensuring that they receive the best service and are informed of decisions in a timely manner, and following up responses to decisions and conditional offers
- Organising interviews and arranging audition days, ensuring applicants are invited in good time, collecting audition fees and checking documentation on the day
- Processing applications for criminal record checks from the Disclosure and Barring Service and equivalent checks from other jurisdictions
- Liaising with the Registrar to ensure the issue of Confirmations of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) for visa purposes to overseas students in line with UK Visas and Immigration guidelines
- Liaising with the Registrar, Assistant Registrar, National Offices and Programme Managers to ensure that target recruitment is achieved and that admissions policies are upheld and all admissions processes are fair and transparent
- Producing good quality management information to enable the Faculty of Education to meet its student data reporting obligations
- Contributing to the development of the Faculty of Education’s student records database and other admission processes and procedures
- Coordinating the registration and induction of new students
- Coordinating Faculty of Education open days
- Responding to general enquiries
- Working with Registry colleagues on the organisation of Awards Day

- Degree level Education (or equivalent experience)
