Procurement Advisor, Gallery, London, Temporary, £16.80 – 19.20 plus holiday pay accrual
Our client, a leading Arts company, is seeking a Procurement Advisor to join their team for 3 to 6 months. As the Contracts and Procurement Advisor you will provide contracting and procurement support for the gallery.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing commercial legal contracts and agreements, and providing negotiation support
- Develop and maintain an electronic contract database for the Gallery
- Support the review of operating model and processes for contracting and procurement support
- Communicate, promote, and implement the new operating model for contracting and procurement support
- Support complex tender processes and manage e-tender systems
- Ensure procurement policies and procedures reflect regulations and best practices
- Provide guidance and support to staff on implementing procurement best practices
- Identify areas of spend for review and oversee implementation of recommendations
- Promote the use of collaborative procurement opportunities
- Address non-compliance and maverick spend, and monitor Single Tender Actions
- Provide contract management support and advise on risk assessment
- Promote best practice procurement through staff training
- Attend meetings and respond to external requests for information
- Maintain continuous professional development and promote safety, wellbeing, and sustainability
Desired Qualities
- A member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS) or equivalent experience with evidence of continuous professional development (Desirable).
- Proven experience in contract management and procurement processes
- Knowledge of contract administration, negotiation, and risk management
- Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent experience is desirable.
- Ability to review and analyse contract terms and conditions
- Experience in sourcing and selecting suppliers
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
