Health & Safety Services Administrator, University based in South East London, Temporary, 2 months with a possible extension, to start 1st September, c.£18.00 plus holiday pay, hybrid with the option to work from home
Our client, a renowned university, requires a part time Health & Safety Services Administrator. This role is a part time temp role. You will have the option to work 2x 7 hour days or 3x 5 hour days. Once you are trained there is the possibility of working from home. You will need to be confident using Teams, Excel, Word and Outlook and you can be trained on bespoke systems used by the University.
Duties of the Health & Safety Services Administrator will include
- Providing admin support to the Health and Safety Services team
- Assisting with management of the shared diary, arranging meetings and visits
- Assisting with monitoring and maintaining the HSS shared email account by responding to or referring queries
- Assisting in administering the University’s central record of accidents and incidents
- Registering users and allocating permissions to the University personal safety app
- Helping maintain records of the central workplace inspection programme
Skills and experience
- Administrative experience in a busy office environment with the ability to work accurately to tight deadlines
- Experience of maintaining records and implementing systems and procedures; plus handling confidential and sensitive information
- Confident using Microsoft Teams, Word, Outlook and Excel
- Highly organised with first class communication skills
- Accurate with attention to detail
- Ability to observe discretion regarding confidential information, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and Data Protection Legislation
- Ability to adhere to legal requirements and best practice relating to digital content and accessibility, including Web Content Accessibility Guidelines when creating digital content
- Experience of working within a H&S team is desirable, not essential, as is experience of managing and editing web pages
- If you have knowledge of IOSH this would be useful but not essential
