HR and Payroll Administrator, Membership Body, 6 month fixed term contract, £27,000 pro-rata, 35 hours per week, London / hybrid
If you are available from mid September and have 1 year minimum proven payroll Admin experience this could be a great step for you. In this role you will be responsible for providing a professional and effective HR and Payroll service, ensuring all payroll data is submitted accurately and in a timely manner for monthly payments.

Reporting to the HR Manager, responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring HR and payroll data complies with data protection legislation
- Managing employee absence records and assist in the administration of sick leave/pay, maternity/paternity leave, timesheets and other entitlements
- Managing the HR and payroll inboxes, answering general enquiries
- Ensure timely and accurate submission and reconciliation of payroll to external payroll providers, ensuring all employees receive the correct monthly salary
- Keeping documentation and provide assistance during the annual audit
- Resolve any payroll related queries promptly
- Delivering effective administrative support to the HR Department
- Supporting the onboarding and leaver process for employees, including preparing contracts, conducting right-to-work checks, requesting references and preparing leaver documentation
- Managing the employee benefit administration and ensuring employees are auto enrolled into the pension scheme as per legislation
- Managing employee changes within the HR and Payroll system, ensuring these are processed accurately
- Assisting with recruitment processes
You will have:
- Previous experience in payroll processing and HR administration
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, including PAYE, NICs, and statutory payments
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and able to create and analyse reports
- Experience with HR and payroll software (Sage and PayEscape desirable)
- Strong numeracy skills with excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
