HR Business Partner, 12 month Fixed Term Contract, to £45,000-£60,000
World renowned Arts and Cultural organisation with several venues in London is looking for a confident HR Business Partner for a 12 month fixed term contract. This role can be based out of any one of their venues with a presence in the others on a regular basis too. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in one of the country’s leading cultural organisations with a collaborative working culture.
You will be part of a busy HR team and your responsibilities will include:
- Role model organisational values of Collaboration, Excellence, Inclusion and Innovation
- Attend occasional staff meetings, training sessions and other events which may take place outside normal working hours
- Be a people champion, promoting a cohesive message across the venues
- Build and maintain relationships
- Assist the design and delivery of the People strategy
- Create, develop and deliver processes, initiatives and projects to achieve objectives
- Support, coach and give advice to managers
- Conduct investigations, grievance, disciplinary and complaints procedures
- Focus on the employee experience and feedback
- Find and develop talent
- Collaborate and work across departments and contribute to cross-departmental project steering groups
- Create and maintain documentation and reports
- Use insights, data and metrics to support decisions
- Work with the Director of People & Inclusion
- Partner with departments to support their needs, address risks and enable their development
- Facilitate resolving workplace concerns and conflict
- Deliver the departmental strategy in line with the organisational mission and vision
- Use your knowledge of employment law and policies and procedures to make appropriate and fair recommendations
- Ensure the fair and equitable treatment of all colleagues
- Resolve investigation, grievance, disciplinary and complaints
- Design and deliver programme and process improvements using automation
- Contribute to the development of a positive candidate and colleague experience
- Delivering a transparent and inclusive recruitment and onboarding process
- Design and deliver engagement initiatives and communications, as well as interactive learning solutions
- Enhance and manage the leaver process and develop actions for retention
- Take an active role in enhancing work experience and creative and cultural careers activity
- Contribute to public body audits and payroll activity
You will ideally have:
- Level 5 CIPD qualification or equal experience
- Ability to create reports and present information in a clear way
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
- Able to demonstrate an open mindset and deep curiosity about others, listen without judgment, and seek with empathy to understand those around them
- Cultural intelligence & emotional intelligence with commitment to social inclusion
- Effective client management/relationship management skills
- Experience of working with people from a variety of different backgrounds
- Experience of managing projects; including planning, scheduling, delivery and evaluation
- Experience using HR information systems e.g. ADP or People XD, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) with ability to track, analyse and maintain data
- Experience advising on people management matters, conducting investigations, grievance and disciplinary procedures
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge and application of employment law and best practice, including an awareness of diversity and inclusion law
- Experience working with Trade Unions
- Experience of working with budgets and controlling expenditure
- Interest in the Arts and Culture sector
