Administrator, Learning & Engagement, Museum, Temporary, 3 months, 3 days per week, London, c.£18.60 per hour plus holiday pay
We are seeking a collaborative and highly organised Operations Administrator to join a busy Learning & Engagement team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong Administrative and Interpersonal skills to play a key role in delivering impactful learning programmes for audiences of all ages. In this role, you will manage the day-to-day planning and delivery of high-quality Learning & Engagement programmes across multiple sites and platforms. You’ll work closely with Producers, Facilitators, volunteers, and external contractors to ensure seamless delivery of formal and informal learning activities. Strong Excel knowledge is needed for this role. This is an exciting and varied position where no two days are the same. It requires a flexible, solution-focused approach and the ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role will require in office working initially which can then move to a hybrid pattern.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on the operational delivery of Learning & Engagement programmes, including scheduling, resource planning, and monitoring KPIs and budgets
- Maintain effective systems to support the smooth running of a busy department
- Work collaboratively with Producers, Facilitators, and other stakeholders
- Coordinate volunteers to support programme delivery across multiple sites
- Monitor and report on operational budgets, datasets, and evaluation feedback
- Act as the first point of contact for operational enquiries, providing excellent customer service at all times
- Ensure compliance with policies including GDPR, safeguarding, and health and safety standards
About You
We are looking for a proactive, solutions-oriented professional with:
- Proven experience managing complex programme logistics and resource planning
- A track record of monitoring budgets and datasets to support effective programme delivery – string Excel needed
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders
- Experience working with volunteers, freelancers, or contractors
- A flexible working style, able to adapt quickly to change and move between projects with ease
Desirable:
- Experience working in a museum, heritage, or learning environment.
- Knowledge of formal and informal learning practices for diverse audiences.
