Receptionist, Architectural firm, Permanent, Central London, £28,900 p/a plus great benefits
Renowned architectural firm, based in Central London, requires a permanent receptionist. The reception team work on a rotation system, shifts covering 8.15am-5.15pm, 8.30am-5.30pm and 9.00am-6.00pm. The main purpose of this role is to provide a friendly, efficient and professional reception ensuring that visitors and clients have a positive impression of the company. You will be a key player in a friendly team; they all support each other but everyone has their own responsibilities too - providing PA support, organising CPDs, supporting Document Control. The main duties of the Receptionist role are:
- First point of contact to all visitors
- Answer the busy main switchboard
- Assisting colleagues with queries and administration tasks
- Ensure reception area is clean and tidy at all times
- Manage and booking meeting rooms
- Prepare refreshments for all meetings, ordering sandwiches as necessary
- Set up equipment for presentation, conference calls and video
- Distribution of post / receiving deliveries
- Assist with project related tasks
- Order courier and taxis
- Manage the centralised company email inbox
- Booking travel, hotels, restaurants as necessary
- Assisting with training new starters
- Other duties include: Organising weekly seminars
- Supporting Team Coordinators and Pas with ad hoc tasks
- Scheduling Friday night presentations and monthly round-ups
- Creating presentations / formatting documents
- Auditing the meeting rooms
Skills and requirements
- Educated to GCSE Level standard or equivalent as a minimum (including passes in English and Maths)
- Office based experience and customer service
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Outlook
- Well presented and professional
- Strong team player, with readiness to ‘muck in’
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Clear, confident and polite telephone manner
- Flexible, with a willingness to tackle a variety of duties and to learn new skills
- Reliable
- Good organisation and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
